Do you know your blood pressure numbers?

Getting blood pressure checked regularly is a key for adults. For those age 18-40, getting screened every three to five years is recommended. For those over 40, it’s once a year.

“Uncontrolled hypertension contributes to strokes, coronary heart disease and cardiovascular disease,” says Bob Beacher, RPh, president, Shared Clinical Services, Fairview. “The implications for the nation’s health are staggering.”

Those with high blood pressure may be eligible for a year-long study to explore methods for faster, better care of hypertension. More information will be available at the screening events.
