“After I had my daughter, I had pelvic pain,” says Megan.

After a while, the pain lessened.

“But after I had my son,” she says, “the pain just continued to get worse and worse. It became really bothersome. By the end of my work day, it was dragging me down and it got to the point where medications weren’t helping anymore and I just wanted answers.”

Megan turned to Anna Masters, DO, for help at the Fairview Center for Women.

After a diagnostic ultrasound, Megan’s care team found abnormalities in Megan’s iliac and ovarian blood vessels and diagnosed her with a condition called pelvic congestion syndrome. Treatment to block the vessels that were causing her debilitating pain was a success.

“The staff at the clinic were amazing,” says Megan. “I’m back to being myself again.”

Dr. Masters and her care team provide care at the new Fairview Center for Women – Edina, which opened in early November. Learn more about our innovative obstetrics and gynecology care for women in every stage of life.
