When leaders from around the state gathered to celebrate the best of the best in Minnesota hospitals, it should be no surprise that Fairview was well represented.
At the Minnesota Hospital Association (MHA)’s annual awards gala Friday, April 25, Fairview proudly took home four honors, including:
- Best Minnesota Hospital Workplace (Large Hospital Category)—Fairview Lakes Medical Center
- Patient Safety Improvement (Large Hospital Category)—Fairview Health System for “Perinatal Safety/Zero Birth Injury Program”
- Innovation of the Year in Patient Care (Large Hospital Category)—Fairview Ridges Hospital for reducing wait times in the Emergency Department
- Trustee of the Year—Art Skarohlid, Fairview Northland Medical Center
In addition, the American Hospital Association presented a Grassroots Champions award to Brad Beard, regional executive for the South Region and site executive for Fairview Southdale Hospital.
“These awards recognize specific achievements within our health system, but they also speak to the commitment of all 26,000 members of our team to deliver the exceptional service and outcomes our patients deserve—and have rightfully come to expect,” says Rulon F. Stacey, Fairview president and CEO. “I’m proud of the recognition we received from the Hospital Association, as I am proud to come to work here every day.”
